Carnival Game RING TOSS - SETUP & DIRECTIONSShort Carnival Savers video/gif shows a child tossing a ring at the Wild West Ring Toss.
Supplies for Wild West Ring Toss: Plywood and wood working tools (power jigsaw and others) to make the cactus and coyote shapes (along with stands and support for this game) Make this DIY Game:Start with an artistic volunteer who can sketch the designs or find wild west themed patterns online to download and enlarge to have a pattern before cutting out the shapes from plywood. Make a wooden stand with supports - see our close up photo above - for your design. Finally paint your design to add some color and definition. Setup for this Game:You will want approximately a 10 x 10 sized area for this game. Set out your wooden Wild West homemade designs and test out the game with your plastic rings. Adjust your "stand behind" lines to make the top prize attainable for some of your players. Also, make sure you have a closer line for the younger children. How to Play the Wild West Ring Toss Carnival Game:Carnival players are given three rings to try their hand "ringing" one of the cactus arms or the howling coyote. If one of their ring tosses hooks on the game, the player get a top carnival prize. If they loop more than one, they get bragging rights along with a top prize. If players do not "ring" a bottle, they receive a consolation prize. As for most games, we allow the little ones to stand closer. This game would be very difficult for a toddler, but school aged children will love the challenge! |
