Colored Hairspray Booth SetUp:

You will want to locate this booth away from food booths (and even make sure your food booths are not downwind) and where you have very good ventilation.

Set out your tables, stools, and have plenty of gloves for volunteers.

Be sure to have at least 2 stations – maybe 3 or more if you have a large school or church. (large = about 500+ kids)

Also, this carnival booth is a very tiring for the volunteers – we suggest you limit each shift to 1 hour at the most!

It is easy to run out of colored hairspray, so buy early and buy extras if your school or church could store them for next year!

How to Run the Colored Hairspray Booth:

Kids pay tickets to have their hair colored with temporary colored hairspray.

The kids choose their color (or sometimes colors) and they sit on a stool. Next, the volunteer puts a cape to protect their clothes. In addition, most booths we see also give the kids a towel to protect their eyes from overspray of the colored hairspray.

Now the volunteer goes to work decorating the child's hair with temporary color(s)!

Not just for girls - set up your Colored Hairspray booth and be ready for the stampede! This carnival booth is always popular with kids and teens alike!

Some suggestions – have space for the lines of kids who will wait for their new hair-do.

Additional Hints & Tips:

Warning: This booth must be done OUTSIDE due to the fumes from the Colored Hairspray!

Note: On a rainy day, this booth can still be done, but you will need a covered area OUTSIDE and we cannot emphasize enough - you will need excellent air flow!

Tip: You can also have extra "Add Ons" that kids can purchase from this booth with tickets like Neon Mini Hair-braids and Removable Body Jewels (shown below)
